There are no words to describe the amount of heartbreak and sadness we feel as we share the devastating news of the death of Jason Massey, 42, of White Oak, Pennsylvania. Jason was happily married and so in love with his wife Laura Massey of over 18 years and a loving father to their son Brennan Massey.
Jason always had a way of making everyone he knew or just met laugh. He had an infectious smile, with a witty sense of humor. While he loved traveling with his wife Laura to Cancun, Mexico often, Jason also enjoyed the simple things in life like watching football and hockey in his cave, buying and reselling cars, visiting Conneaut Lake, spending time with his son Brennan building Lego sets. , watching Brennan play hockey, and relaxing at home with a cup of Gray Goose in hand – with his loving cat named Goose sitting on his lap.
As many of you may know, the Massey family has been actively involved in the community for many years through their agency work. Family owned and operated Bob Massey Toyota has been an iconic fixture in the White Oak/McKeesport and North Huntingdon areas sponsoring local events and car shows. However, most importantly, the Massey family has been actively involved in donating and running White Oak Animal Safe Haven. Jason's father, Bob Massey Jr. Collected and donated supplies to the animal shelter each holiday season and also sponsored and built the “Massey Family Dog Park” for the shelter. Jason's wife, Laura, is the current executive president at White Oak Animal Safe Haven.
The Massey family has dedicated their lives to helping others throughout the community. With Jason's sudden passing, Laura and Brennan face an unimaginable and heartbreaking loss while trying to plan for the future. Just shy of 16, Brennan wants to attend college after high school. With that being said, in lieu of flowers, we would like to carry on Jason's wish to care for his son and we are seeking donations to Brennan's college fund.
