Nathaniel Freedmore was charged with murder and felony child endangerment after the shooting of Cash Guido

A Virginia man shot and killed a 19-year-old boy who was cradling a baby. He was then taken into custody and charged with second degree murder and child endangerment.

Following an alleged episode of road rage in Fairlie Court, Lynchburg resident Cash Guido was shot and killed by Nathaniel Lee Friedmore, 33, of Lynchburg, Virginia.

During their investigation, police also discovered a dead female at Friedmore's home in the 1400 block of Tunbridge Road.

On Monday, September 30, 2024 at 3:45 p.m., Lynchburg Police received a call regarding a shooting in the 100 block of Fairlea Court.

An adult male suffering from a gunshot wound was transported to Lynchburg General Hospital upon arrival, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Nathaniel Friedmore was recognized by the police as a suspect and taken into custody.

From the investigation into this incident it became clear that Friedmore's home needed a welfare check. An adult female was found dead when the 1400 block of Tunbridge Road was checked for welfare.

Freedmore shot and killed Cash while he was cradling a baby, according to Guido's family.
