Michelle Kerr death, obituary: co-founder of Cosa Nostra public relations Michelle Kerr, passed away unexpectedly

Co-founder of Cosa Nostra Public Relations Michelle Kerr, died, September 15.

The music world lost a titan this weekend.
Michelle Kerr took care of some of the best metal bands in the world, but she also took care of those of us working behind the press machine.
Thank you for fighting my corner when I didn't realize I needed you. Thank you for your words when I didn't know I needed them on a personal level.
In a world of evil.. Be Michelle.
All my love to Michelle's family and friends, the Roadrunner family and especially my best friend Kirsten and the Cosa Nostra family.

On September 14th we lost our beloved Michelle. There are no adequate words to describe how this world feels without her nonsense and fire.

This fundraiser is simply to ensure that we can give Michelle the memorial she deserves and we know she will love.

Michelle lived most of her life in Hampstead; A place she adored. A place where she loved to take long walks on the grounds and often went for a wander in Highgate Cemetery. Her family and close friends therefore plan to lay some of her ashes to rest in Highgate Cemetery and organize a memorial bench in Hampstead Heath.

The funds raised here will be transferred to this cause (being in the company of George Michael and Malcolm McLaren is not cheap), with all excess funds going to a charity in Michelle's name.

If Michelle has ever put you on a guest list, given you time with one of her artists, helped you and/or your bands reach any level of success, given you career advice, bought you a drink at a show…we would appreciate your donation.

If you are someone who would like to pay their respects at her funeral, please donate any money you spent on flowers or travel. At her request, her funeral will be very small and private.

Thank you for whatever you can spare to pay tribute to our gal x

There are many unsung heroes that have helped propel Machine Head to where we are. Michelle Kerr was one of them. She's had my back for almost 3 decades, handling the often tough UK press duties after inheriting them in 1995 midway through the Burn My Eyes album cycle.
She is and remains one of my longest business relationships in music alongside Mark Palmer and Monte Connor,
I've always seen her as a cross between Elizabeth Taylor and Lemmy, so yes, she is an undeniable ass!! And she could drink me and all my friends under the table!
Smart, funny, tough, loyal, she was simply one of the best people I've ever met.
She fought it for so long, always held her head high, always looked on the bright side.
My nickname for her was “Poppet” a reference to the movie Pirates of the Caribbean… All these years I don't even know how it happened… But every phone call, every time we saw each other. .. the first words out of my mouth will always be “'Alo Poppet”
Ruined right now…
I really didn't think I'd say that…
…Goodbye Poppet, another Facebook post said.
