Fellowship of the Parks (FOTP) announces the passing of Ed Kirk, a beloved and essential part of the church community, with gratitude and sadness. His contribution to FOTP is immense, and his friendship, service and dedication have left a lasting impression on many lives.
“Words cannot express my gratitude to this amazing man, for his friendship, and for what he meant to my family and our church,” Senior Pastor Doug Walker said in a poignant farewell. FOTP might not exist today if not for Ed Kirk and his selfless work. It's not excessive at all. At church, Ed wore almost every hat. He is loved, missed and will always be appreciated. See him again! Ed Kirk's life was characterized by his unwavering support of the FOTP community and his selfless dedication. He served the church in a variety of capacities, always lending a hand and leaving a lasting impression. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him and will always be part of the reason FOTP was founded.
On Sunday afternoon, at 9900 N. Beach St., the North Fort Worth Campus North Auditorium will host a service to honor the life of Ed. The funeral service is scheduled for 4:00 p.m., after the viewing at 3:00 p.m.
The gathering to celebrate the life of a man who influenced so many is open to family, friends and the FOTP community. We pray for healing and peace for Ed's wife, Nancy, and the entire Kirk family as we honor Ed's incredible contribution. We will always cherish his memory, and we look forward to the day when we see him again.
