A man named Earl Threet was killed after being hit by his own vehicle in Conewago Township

A Conewago Township man was hit by his own car in Adams County Thursday; The York County Coroner's Office confirmed Friday that he died at York Hospital after being airlifted there. The event took place on Thursday.

The coroner's office confirmed the incident claimed the life of Irl Therit Jr., a 63-year-old resident of Conewago Township's 3500 block of Centennial Road. According to a statement from the coroner's office, Tarit was standing behind his flatbed truck with manual transmission after parking it on his property. This action proved fatal for him.

The coroner's office claims that when Tarit got behind his car, the car's brakes failed to hold, causing the car to crash into Tarit. Also, the ministry stated that no other people were involved in the crash.

At 15:11, Tarit succumbed to his injuries after being sent to Wellspan York Hospital with fatal consequences.
