Megan Shockey, a 30-year-old Los Angeles resident, went missing in the early hours of September 16, 2024, and her family and friends are desperately searching for information on her whereabouts. In the Los Angeles neighborhood of Brentwood, Megan was last seen between 2:30 and 3:00 a.m. in the area of Wyoming Avenue and Butler Ave. Since then, her family has turned to social media for support, setting up the “Finding Megan Shukey” Facebook page to spread the word and get leads.
Megan's cousin Zoe posted information about the day she disappeared on the page. “When Megan was last seen, she was wearing a gray hoodie, black and gray military fatigue style sweatpants, black socks and pink sandals. At that moment, neither her money nor her phone was with her,” Zoe wrote. Megan's physical features include being 5'9″, 140 pounds, with jet-black blonde hair, and a prominent scar from scoliosis surgery on her back.
Emily, Megan's sister, also posted a heartfelt message on Facebook. She repeated the details of her sister's disappearance and asked for assistance from the general public. Emily wrote on Facebook, “If you have any information, please message me on Facebook or email finding.megan.shuki@gmail.com.” “If you are in the dark, please share this post so that hopefully more people will keep an eye on Megan.”
The Shuki family is working hard, as well as concerned friends and neighbors, to bring Megan home safely. A missing persons report was filed and the authorities were contacted, but as of now, no noteworthy developments have been published.
The family urged anyone, regardless of what little information they have, to contact them. Megan's family is still holding out hope that she will be located quickly with the help of the public.
