The unexpected and horrific death of one of its own, Kylie Leitner, has left the town of Portland, Michigan in mourning. Kylie's sudden death devastated her friends and family. The local community has shown her an enormous amount of love and support since hearing of her passing.
Community member Darcy Love posted a “Portland Michigan Community Page” on Facebook to thank her neighbors for their generosity and kindness. “This community has exceeded my expectations! The love is pouring out in such an amazing way! In a few short hours, the dinner train was completely filled,” she wrote. In order to ease the financial burden on Kylie's family during this difficult time, she also posted a fundraising link. She also urged people to keep sharing and donating.

The need for support was reiterated in another post on the site, which read: “If you can, please consider helping Kylie's family.” Sadly, Kylie passed away yesterday evening in Portland, Ionia County. Please remember her family in your prayers and thoughts.
