On September 15, 2024, the body of 32-year-old Brandon Lee Christy was discovered in a wooded area near the Cold Brook Public Parking Lot in Saranac. According to the authorities, there is no suspicion of foul play in his death.
Christy last spoke to his family on August 31. Christie was reported missing to Appleton, Wisconsin police on September 9. A search was launched after his black 2016 Mercedes Benz, registered in Wisconsin as ATC1095, was discovered Sept. 11 in the cold. SARANAK, NY: A 30-year-old Wisconsin man last seen near his car, parked at a trailhead in the Cold Brook Public Use Area in Saranac Township, is the target of an increased search by authorities. After losing contact with him on August 31, 2024, the man's family reported him missing to Appleton, Wisconsin police on September 9, 2024. He was named Brandon Lee Christie.
Several days have passed since the search began, and many agencies have been working closely together. On Sunday morning, the Adirondack Mountain Rescue team announced on Facebook that they were actively participating in the search. In an effort to find Christy, the team is partnering with more than a dozen Forest Rangers and the New York State Police.
Christie's black 2016 Mercedes-Benz with Wisconsin license plate ATC1095 was found in the Cold Brook Public Parking Area on Standish Road in Saranac Township on Sept. 11, 2024, according to a New York State Police affidavit.
Authorities are asking anyone with information to come forward immediately to help locate Christy. It's urgent, and the smallest tip could mean the difference between getting him home. The New York State Police Troop B is asking anyone with information to call 518-563-3761.
