Who is Devin O'Brien? Police arrest, charge Sandusky man with murder in 3-year-old's death

The 3-year-old daughter of the man's fiancee was found dead Thursday, leading Sandusky police to arrest and charge him with murder.

Devin O'Brien reported the 3-year-old missing to the Erie County District Attorney's office Thursday night around 9 p.m., saying he couldn't find her after she woke up from a sleep at the exact address where the three lived. West of Sandusky.

The 3-year-old boy was found dead after police searched the area around the Venice Road residence. The location of the discovery of the body was not disclosed by the prosecutor's office.

Suffocation/suffocation was the cause of the 3-year-old boy's death, and it has been ruled a homicide, according to an autopsy report released by the Lucas County Coroner's Office on Friday.

Erie County Prosecutor Kevin Baxter stated that police found sufficient cause to arrest O'Brien and charge him with murder.

According to Baxter, the mother of the three-year-old boy was in Cleveland when the incident occurred.
