Columbus police have identified the victim in a fatal shooting that left two people dead.
Nicole Pannell, 41, of Columbus, Ohio, also known as Nikki Dortch, was found dead from gunshot wounds alongside a man, 31-year-old Christian Hibbs.
Both were found dead at a home on Pine Rise Court in the Northern Woods neighborhood, off Cooper Road around 11.15pm on Monday.
Police are investigating the shooting as a murder-suicide.
According to Columbus police, Pannell was found dead in the basement of the property while Hives was found unresponsive in the backyard.
Relatives of the victim took to social media to mourn her.
“I got the call that my cousin was murdered in Columbus, I wish I could have done something! Dammit!! What a cowardly act!! My beautiful cousin! 💔💔💔Nikki Dortch,” read one post.
