According to local authorities on Saturday, Melissa Jovan, a 32-year-old nurse from Oregon who went missing, was found dead, and her neighbor has been charged with her murder.
Jobna, a nurse at Portland's St. Vincent Hospital, was reported missing earlier this week during a welfare check. Her absence from work on September 4 had her co-workers, colleagues and family worried.
A few days before, the Heart Sister returned home after getting married in Hawaii. The New York Post stated that on August 24, Jovan married Brian Lantro in Haliwa, Oahu on the island of Honolulu.
Updates from the police indicate that an inspection was carried out at her home, and that her lack of communication is considered “unusual and worrisome”, in addition to the fact that efforts to reach the nurse during the day are futile. According to the reports, Jovan's phone was turned off, and “searches of bank and credit card records turned up no new information about her location.”
