A fundraiser has begun for Adiel Ortiz, a corrections officer and trainer killed in an accident

Adiel Ortiz, a 31-year-old father of four, was killed in a motorcycle accident in Vineland, New Jersey, and a GoFundMe page was created in his honor.

Around six o'clock in the evening, Adiel A. Ortiz, 31, of Millville, was operating a motorcycle on Maple Avenue when he collided with Lauren C. Beisler, 42, of Dennis Town's Ocean View neighborhood and her Chevy Traverse SUV.

Two people died in the collision: a 9-year-old boy who was riding in the back seat of Beisler's car and Ortiz, a corrections officer who volunteered as a coach.

At Cape Atlantic Jr. Major League Soccer, Ortiz was the coach of the Vineland Blitz Soccer Club. According to New Jersey 101.5, “Coach Eddie” was riding from the complex's football field to the football field at the time.

Additionally, he worked as a correctional officer at Bayside State Prison and Southern State Correctional Facility.

Cameron, Bella, Jenna and Avery are the four children Ortiz left behind, along with his fiancée Destiny. At the time of publication, $22,170 had been raised through a GoFundMe set up for his family.
